2020/2021 - A lab in space?

We all are ready to get back to school, to get back to normal. I am so excited to have the kids back in the classroom. Things are going to work a little differently this year. We do not know exactly what to expect. But we will be doing a lot of great things. We will be learning so many new things. We will be having fun and growing. It will be a great year!

I want to start of this year with a blog. Here I will bring all of you into our classroom so you can see what we are doing. This will be a place you can come to for spelling words or memory verses. You might even find pictures of your kids working on our alien plants.

Our classroom looks a little like a lab up in space, or at least I hope it does. We need to wear masks and keep everything clean (lots of hand washing) when we are working with alien plant life. We cannot contaminate our plants with germs we have brought in, nor do we want to pick up anything from an alien plant.  Here is a little secret, I did not REALLY travel to Mars or one of Jupiter's moons to gather these plants, but we are going to be pretending that is exactly what I did.

I will be teaching the students how to move around and find things here on the blog, as well as other places. That way if we do end up back at home, we will be ready to learn right away. If the students already know where they need to go, it will make the transition easier.

I hope this blog becomes a place you visit often. Just stop in to see what we are doing.
