Fun Times at School

Well, the first three days of school passed by so quickly.  We have had very full days, and I don't know about the kids, but I am tired when I get home.

Here are a couple of highlights from the rest of our week.

In the classroom we worked on math, grammar, and science.  We are learning about the water cycle in science.  We are going to be studying different places around the world. We are starting by learning about one of our closest neighbors, Mexico.

Enjoying some watermelon.

Writing a story.

We have a journal to do some writing in. Our first story was started by rolling the dice to see what the setting, characters, and problem of the story would be.  Next week we will start writing a personal narrative.

Our first art project:  I will have to take some finished pictures of our projects. This was made by dipping string in paint.  We laid it out on the paper. Then we covered it with another piece of paper, and pulled the string out.
