Friday, October 16th

 

We had a really busy week.  We walked down to the Fire Barn to talk with the firefighters about fire safety.  We loved looking at all of the fire trucks and talking to the firefighter.  We want to send a big thank you for the firefighters for keeping us safe, and for helping to prepare us if there should ever be a fire in our homes.



In grammar, we have been learning about Article Adjectives. They are so excited to learn a new part of speech.  Ask us what the 3 Article Adjectives are.  We have been talking about our Natural Resources in Science. We are learning about maps, and how to find places based on the grid. We are studying Sweden.


In Tech/Stem time we are working on getting to Mars. This week we decided on our landing sites. Next week we will start building and testing our landing devices.




We also made it to our Running goal.  All of the students are now able to run a 1/2 mile (two times around the block) without stopping. So we invited our families to watch and celebrate with us.  Boy were we excited to have our families watch. We broke lots of our time records today.


We also finished our Twisted Cinderella stories. We were excited to share our stories with the 4-6th grade. They had been writing poems and shared some of their poems with us.
