The first artist we are learning about this year is Wassily Kandinsky.  Ask us what we learned about him. We are learning about Mexico. Did you know the largest river in Mexico is the Rio Grande? We have started our first writing project. We are writing personal narratives. When we are all finished with our stories we will share them with the rest of the class. Fun Times at School

Well, the first three days of school passed by so quickly.  We have had very full days, and I don't know about the kids, but I am tired when I get home.   Here are a couple of highlights from the rest of our week. In the classroom we worked on math, grammar, and science.  We are learning about the water cycle in science.  We are going to be studying different places around the world. Our first story was started by rolling the dice to see what the setting, characters, and problem of the story would be.  Next week we will start writing a personal narrative.   Our first art project:  I will have to take some finished pictures of our projects. This was made by dipping string in paint.  We laid it out on the paper. Then we covered it with another piece of paper, and pull...

First Day of School

Wow, did the day go fast! We had lots of things to get crammed into this first day. I want to share a few pictures of us.  Judah and Cole by our 'alien' plants.                                  Braden and Alexis with Ms. Rachel seeing how well they washed their hands. Just a few more pictures of the day.  We are all ready to go for tomorrow!

2020/2021 - A lab in space?

We all are ready to get back to school, to get back to normal. I am so excited to have the kids back in the classroom. Things are going to work a little differently this year. We do not know exactly what to expect. But we will be doing a lot of great things. We will be learning so many new things. We will be having fun and growing. It will be a great year! I want to start of this year with a blog. Here I will bring all of you into our classroom so you can see what we are doing. This will be a place you can come to for spelling words or memory verses. You might even find pictures of your kids working on our alien plants. Our classroom looks a little like a lab up in space, or at least I hope it does. We need to wear masks and keep everything clean (lots of hand washing) when we are working with alien plant life. We cannot contaminate our plants with germs we have brought in, nor do we want to pick up anything from an alien plant.  Here is a little secret, I did not REALLY trav...
